Day 5 - Steam Release
Day 5 is nearly finished, finishing up a few final things.
Steam release is in final reviews by valve.
Steam also approved the first 2000 keys for everyone who already purchased the game here. I have not added them to itch yet because I need to figure out how to limit those keys to people who purchased before steam release, and not after. Valve was a little ehh about the amount of keys I asked for, so not sure they would be happy with keeping to supply keys for itch (I can see why, they make no money for sales made here.). I will see though.
Ill keep everyone informed on that process and where we end up. Steam page is live, Game is actually downloadable as a beta for subscribers who have been receiving their keys over the past couple of days.
If you would like a beta key, you can join patreon at $5 or higher. and message me and I will send you one.
This would also make you eligible for the raffle I am holding this month. I haven't mentioned this here before, but I am upgrading my hardware with the sales from steam, so my old video cards are being raffled off. Those cards include.
1 RTX 4090
2 RTX 3070's
1 RTX 3060
The signup for that will be happening in about a week, The raffle will happen on the day the game is officially released on steam, and cards will be shipped out as soon as I can get new cards ordered and in.

held the raffle yet?
so pay even more money to receive a key for a game that has already been paid for?
You will still receive a steam key for your purchase here, but steam obviously wont let me give out thousands of beta keys, so beta keys are reserved for subscribers.
thanks for the clarification
Awesome, congrats on getting proper responses out of Valve! I'd also love to get a Steam key as i've bought this through Itch.io before, just like Falco Falcone, just to keep it all nice and tidy on Steam, but if it takes a while, that's all fine. Best of luck with the raffle and continued work on the game! So far it's my favourite :)
A fantastic story this!!!
If it makes it easier for you guys, according to my Purchase History, I, Falco Falcone, purchased my edition of "Thirty Days" through itch.io on 2023-05-16 04:03:21.
I'd love, if possible, to be able to add a Steam copy to my Steam library, both for ease of access while in Steam and also to keep my Steam Library as up-to-date and complete as possible.
Thank you!...regardless, of course, of whether or not a Steam key happens to come my way 😉 😁.
All your "old" cards are much better than any of mine! LOL
Thanks for the reminder about joining your Patreon, I keep forgetting to do so!
I don't suppose there is any easy way to create a filter for those that purchased it before a certain date, and have it send a notification, or email, with a link to get a steam key, which is only usable once?
Looks like I purchased it back in Nov, 2022 if that helps? I can't remember if that was day 2 or 3. (I checked my email for purchase date!)
Just some thoughts
Yeah, unfortunately to render at any decent speed requires some pretty crazy hardware. And the reason I am raffling the 4090 is I'll be replacing all cards with liquid cooled cards, and I'd rather buy it with the block then void the warranty considering how vital the cards are for me to continue this, kind of need those warranties.
and worse case scenario, the day I release to steam, I'll do a dump of all purchases made here before that day, and just email everyone the keys, not the preferred option, but its an option.
I bought this a while ago (and again today because itch didn't show me that I'd already bought it!) and it was installed via the itch app, but now it's saying it's incompatible and I have to download manually. Are you planning to make it compatible with the app again? For me, I much prefer the app as it manages my updates.
I haven't changed anything in how itch handles it. and itch hasn't been updated with the new code to make it work for steam. Ill download the itch app tomorrow to see if i can figure out whats going on.
Their was a code change awhile back, that may have caused in "incompatibility" issue, but from what I know, it wasn't with the app, it was just that the game couldn't update itself. it required removal of old install, and full re-install.
Okay, I'll try a full reinstall. Thanks for looking in to it!
I had to click the cog icon and select which version (free or paid) and now it's installing. Thanks again
3drcomics i got the game when it was day 1 or 2 i dont remember
but im 99% certain he already knows this, as i've been lead to believe that devs have a list of users who own it and when we bought it.. meaning he could just inbox owners of the game with a key.as i own it here, i have no need of a key,.. but it would be good considering that itch is currently betraying devs and game owners by preventing certain devs from charging in future ... meaning those games will either be abandoned or we'll have top re-purchase them on other platforms
Does the Steam Release mean, that you won't update the version on Itch? or will people that have paid on Itch still be able to get the latest version from here?
I will still update here, you paid for it, you will continue to get updates. The only thing changing on itch, is day 5 will be the last day released for free(when day 6 is released). Steam would remove my game if I kept posting it for free.
alright, thanks for the fast response ♥
also congratulations approved Steam page. i wish you best of luck and succsess!
